County Line: The Society’s Quilting Department Will Meet

County Liners keep hovering indoors on those cold, rainy days. After a boring NCAA football championship game, many families enjoyed gathering to watch the NFC and AFC football playoffs last weekend – especially the Jacksonville Jaguars’ incredible 0-27 winning comeback at halftime.

The Baptist Society Quilting Ministry will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 25 in the Fellowship Room. The group invites others who are interested in quilting.

Remember that the Society Baptist Church will not have Sunday evening services in January and February.

Upcoming community events include a Country Ham Breakfast sponsored by the V-Point Ruritans on Saturday, February 4 at the V-Point Building.

Our community sends well wishes to Alice Cartner Waugh, who was treated for respiratory issues at Forsyth Medical Center.

Sue Jones recovers at home.

Join us in prayer for the Lord’s divine healing on Alice, Sue and other residents who are struggling with their health. Remember in prayer those affected by the rains and floods in California and the tornadoes in Alabama. Also pray that our homeless population will find safe shelter during these extreme weather conditions. Continue to pray for those affected by influenza, RSV and Covid-19 and its variants in our region.
