Tennis Set to Host Elon, Texas State and ULM
History Links HOUSTON — The University of Houston tennis program will open its spring roster at home at the Barbara Wallace Winston Tennis Complex for three matches beginning Friday.
Game 1 is scheduled to be against Elon at 10 a.m. Friday, followed by Texas State at 9 a.m. Saturday and ULM at noon Sunday.
Admission is free to all Houston Tennis matches and no student application is necessary. Live stats can be found here.
The Cougars (1-2) are coming off a 6-1 win over UTRGV in Waco, Texas and are looking to continue their success at home in the 2023 campaign.
SCOUTING THE PHOENIX Elon is in his 19th season under head coach Elizabeth Anderson. The Phoenix are 1-1 this season. This will be the first time in program history that Houston will face Elon. SCOUTING THE BOBCATS Texas State enters its first season under head coach Kendall Brooks. The Bobcats finished their 2022 campaign, 6-16. The Cougars own the all-time series, 8-0. The last time Houston and Texas State met, the Cougars claimed a 6-1 decision (January 31, 2021). SCOUTING THE WARHAWKS The ULM begins its first season under the direction of Phil Trahan. The Warhawks are 0-2 this season. ULM leads the all-time series, 2-1. The last time Houston and ULM met, the Cougars claimed a 5-2 decision (January 28, 2022). NEXT
The Cougars continue at home where they host Prairie View for a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 3 with Game 1 beginning at 10 a.m., followed by Game 2 at 2 p.m.
