Chainsmokers, Lambert To Headline Chicago’s NASCAR Music Lineup

CHICAGO — As Chicago prepares to host a pair of NASCAR races downtown this summer, event organizers have announced the musical lineup for the two-day event.

NASCAR last year announced plans for the racing series’ first-ever street race, which will take place in Chicago on July 1-2. NASCAR officials said tickets go on sale to the general public Feb. 3, but said the weekend that will feature two street races will also include two sold-out concerts featuring the Chainsmokers and Miranda Lambert.

NASCAR races will take place on an “unprecedented” 12-turn, 2.2-mile course that will showcase NASCAR’s Cup Series and Xfinity Series through a series of downtown landmarks as part of the celebrations taking place. 4th of July weekend.

“The Chicago Street Race is truly a two-day sporting and entertainment event, the first of its kind in NASCAR’s 75-year history,” Chicago Street Race President Julie Giese said in a press release. .
