Tom Brady Announces Retirement From NFL Football

One of the greatest careers in sports history is coming to an end. Tom Brady announced his retirement Wednesday morning in a social media post.

“Hello guys,” Brady said in the posted video. “I’ll cut to the chase. I’m retiring, for good. I know the process was pretty big last time, so when I woke up this morning I thought I’d hit record and you’d know first. . It won’t be long. You only get one super emotional retreat trial and I used mine last year. Really thanks a lot guys, to each and every one of you you, for supporting me. My family, my friends, my my teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever, there are too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing . I love you all.”

Brady played 23 seasons in the NFL and led his team to a record 10 Super Bowl appearances with a record seven wins. During his career, he completed 64.3% of his passes, threw for 89,214 yards, 649 touchdowns and 212 interceptions in the regular season. In the playoffs, he completed 62.5% of his passes, threw for 13,400 yards, 88 touchdowns and 40 interceptions.

The first 20 seasons of his career were with the New England Patriots, where he appeared in nine Super Bowls and won six. The last three were with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he appeared in a Super Bowl and won it. Brady was a five-time Super Bowl MVP, 15-time Pro Bowler, three-time NFL MVP and three-time First Team All-Pro.

Brady also retired last offseason, but this one looks different, especially given how his game dipped during the 2022 campaign. Still, he is one of the most decorated and most successful athletes. accomplishments of this generation and of history. Hats off to a great career.
