Angels: Mike Trout Gets Dragged Around Social Media After Appearance at Eagles Playoff Game

Last weekend was a great sports weekend for Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout. Well, as long as he stayed off social media.
Trout was on hand to watch his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, head to the Super Bowl for the second time in six seasons. Hopefully he was giving the game his full attention and none of the social media because, well, the fans had fun at his expense. Let’s just say fans were a bit surprised to see Trout in a playoff game.
There were many more tweets like this. Like, a lot more. I don’t need to show you all of them, but if you want to see them for yourself, just go to Twitter and search “Mike Trout playoffs”.
Either way, you have to feel for Trout, who only made the playoffs once in his incredible 12-year MLB career. Trout finally made the playoffs in 2014, only to be swept by the Kansas City Royals in three games. Then, in 2015, the Angels had a winning record but missed a game before a playoff appearance. And since then, all is lost.
Trout has made it clear that his main goal this season is to make the playoffs. He wants to win, not just for himself, but to keep Shohei Ohtani in Angel Red for the foreseeable future. Trout says he feels 100% healthy heading into 2023, so maybe, just maybe, that’s the year it all kicks into gear.
