Rumour: PS Plus Essential February 2023 Games Leaked, Destiny 2 DLC Confirmed

Update: Just hours before the PS Plus Essential lineup is confirmed for February 2023, it looks like Destiny 2: Beyond Light will definitely be included. The PS Stars scheme on the PlayStation mobile app has just been updated, and one of the goals is to play Destiny 2: Beyond Light as part of PS Plus. So that’s it.

However, we are still awaiting confirmation of other leaked games. Again, the official announcement will come later today, so stay tuned.

Original story: PS Plus Essential monthly games for February 2023 leaked ahead of next week’s official reveal. As usual, the info comes from the ever-reliable @billbil_kun, who’s been posting the first PS Plus lineups for years now.

These are the PS5 and PS4 titles subscribers can apparently look forward to:

The leaker mentions that Mafia: Definitive Edition may be a bonus addition, or possibly a replacement for another game in some regions. As such, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to be sure.

But other than that, it looks like a pretty solid selection. OlliOlli World is a much-loved indie release from last year, and Evil Dead: The Game offers groovy multiplayer fun.

Meanwhile, Mafia: Definitive Edition is a rather impressive remake of what some would consider a bit of a classic, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light is a well-received 2020 expansion for Bungie’s popular shooter (not to be confused with Destiny 2: Lightfall, which releases next month). We’re guessing, by the way, that because Destiny 2’s base game is free, it just gives PS Plus Essential subscribers access to all the content that’s locked behind Beyond Light ownership.

Robert has been a dedicated PlayStation fan since his Tekken 2 days, and he still loves a good dust. When he’s not practicing combos, he usually gets lost in the last 100 hour RPG or, you know, replaying The Witcher 3.
