TORONTO — The NFL playoffs reigned supreme among Proline bettors again last week, but one customer managed to bet big on football.

According to Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., a bettor won $1,574 after betting $5 on a six-pick soccer bet. Another received a payout of $3,165 after betting $20 on a nine-inning mixed sports bet.

And on April 10, another bettor placed $50 on the Philadelphia Eagles winning the NFC title. That bet resulted in a $1,000 payout after the Eagles dismantled the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 on Sunday to advance to the Super Bowl.

The Philadelphia-San Francisco contest was Proline’s second event of the week behind the Kansas City-Cincinnati AFC title game. The Toronto Maple Leafs were ranked 3rd and 5th, with their games against the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals, respectively, with the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors ranked 4th.

Sixty percent of bettors had Philadelphia winning their game against San Francisco while 68 percent had the Eagles at 1.5 minus. Another 33 percent took the least (44.5 points) in the contest.

The Chiefs achieved their third Super Bowl finish in five years with a 23-20 home win over Cincinnati. Only 36% of bettors had Kansas City down 2.5 points, but 42% had the club winning the game,

However, only 31% predicted the least (48.5 points).

The Raptors edged the Portland Trailblazers 123-105 on Saturday night, with 57% of odds taking Toronto with over 4.5 points. Fifty-two percent made the club win.

On Friday night, the Maple Leafs beat Washington 5-1, with 70% of bettors predicting victory. Fifty-six percent had Toronto within a goal while 45 percent were under (6.5 goals).
