Tennis: Roger Federer has every inch of his body sculpted for hours for curious art project

Tennis legend Roger Feder has embarked on various new endeavors since announcing his departure from tennis in September 2022.

He recently surprised his 12 million Instagram followers with an unexpected artistic adventure, posting photos of himself suspended in the air, undergoing a full-body sculpt.

The photos were part of a joint project with renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, who with CNBC made a documentary titled ‘Portrait of a Champion’, which follows the final stages of Federer’s incredible career.

The former tennis player spent hours hanging from a harness and was covered from head to toe in wax molds for hours.

Federer was the first to admit the experience pushed him out of his comfort zone. “This new experience gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and opened my eyes to learn the complex processes of creating art,” he said.

Despite the unique and somewhat uncomfortable nature of the experience, the tennis star expressed her gratitude for being part of the project.

“Over the past two years, I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with fellow countryman and famous artist, @ugorondinone0, to experience art on a deeper level. I’m proud to share this incredible experience with you and how @creditsuisse_ch helped bring to life,” he posted on his Instagram.
