Breanna Stewart, two-time WNBA champion, takes her talents to the Big Apple.

On Wednesday, Stewart announced on social media that she was signing with the New York Liberty. The terms of his contract are not known at this time.

Stewart narrowed his roster to the Liberty and Storm. Clearly, she is ready to ally herself with Sabrina Ionescu.

The basketball world had a lot to say about Stewart’s decision on Wednesday.

Nets star Kevin Durant tweeted, “Yeah don’t ring my phone looking for tickets this summer they’re gone. Let’s go @nyliberty.”

“Sad,” Aaron Levine said. “Nice to have you in Seattle. We will miss you, Stewie!

Arielle Chambers wrote, “I wanted chaos cause I’m ridiculous but I’m so glad she’s back home. Back to her original state!”

Sarah Spain tweeted, “These great teams, man. This WNBA season is gonna be fire.”

Stewart, a four-time All-Star forward, averaged 21.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last year.

If Stewart can continue to play at an elite level, the Liberty will be hard to stop this coming season.

The 2023 WNBA season begins May 19.
