This comedy sketch perfectly captures ‘getting the golf bug’ | This is the Loop

We first discovered golf comedy sketch group St. Andre Golf in August, when their hilarious skit “Golf Ball Hog” made the rounds on social media. We’ve been keeping a watchful eye ever since, and they rarely miss. “Daddy needs a new dozie from the pro shop” always gets to me every time.
It looks like the band have yet another hit in one of their latest videos titled “First Time Golfer Lands a Good Shot”. We’ve all known one of those beginners who can’t seem to figure out how to make contact at the range, or can’t seem to get the ball in the air the first time you take it to the real course. . Then, when they finally pull off that first good shot, they’re hooked. They “caught the virus” as the cliché goes. Next thing you know, they’re calling and asking if you’re here to play this weekend. They go out alone for a little nine after work. They are addicted.
No video has ever captured this exact scenario quite like this:
“I will dedicate my life to this.” The video could have ended there and it would still have been perfect. But it got better and better.
“Thousands and thousands of dollars in equipment and green fees.” Check. “Questionable time management when it comes to my family.” Check. “That’s my life now.” Check. All bases covered. This is literally how we all feel after stiffening one to three feet. Next stop: The Masters.
