Football Announces Additions with Signing Class

Lindenwood head football coach Jed Stugart and his team finalized their National Signing Day recruiting class on Wednesday.

“We’re so excited for today to wrap up what we believe will be an incredible first class of recruiting in the Division I era,” Stugart said. “Guys who bring the kind of work ethic, character and commitment to add to our family culture and help build on the success of our first Division I campaign. It’s a great day to be a Lion. !”


After inking more than 20 commitments during the December signing period, the Lions added 11 more at the start of 2023. The most recent class includes six transfers and five from high school. Lindenwood had six on the defensive side of the ball, four on offense and one specialist. A total of nine states were represented in this year’s class, including two local talents from St. Louis, Mo.


Lindenwood is set to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 9 for a Big South-OVC game with Missouri State Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
