South Alabama’s St-Hilaire & Old Dominion’s Sasnouskaya Earn Sun Belt Tennis Player of the Week Honors

History Links NEW ORLEANS – Maxime St-Hilaire of South Alabama and Tatsiana Sasnouskaya of Old Dominion both finished undefeated in singles action for their respective teams last week to earn Tennis Player of the Week honors from the Sun Belt Conference.

Jaguars sophomore Maxime St-Hilaire posted an unbeaten week in singles and 1-1 in doubles. He has singles wins over Clemson (4-6, 6-4, 6-2) and Nebraska (6-4, 6-4). The Sophomore was an even .500 at No. 1 in doubles in the pair of games with a 6-3 victory over the pair of Clemson.

Female Tennis Player of the Week
Tatsiana Sasnouskaya, Former Dominion
(Sr., Minsk, Belarus)

Monarchs eldest Tatsiana Sasnouskaya notched her second national ranking upset of the year by knocking down ITA’s No. 27 singles player from Wake Forest to give her team the 4-3 win. Sasnouskaya won the match 6-1, 2-6, 6-4. She then earned a 6-3 doubles No. 1 win over Ohio State.
