AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am DraftKings golf picks 2023: Best PGA DFS lineup

Breaking down our DraftKings golf picks for the PGA DFS slate at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with the best plays, top fades, and our top lineup for the week.
Although the tournament often gets mixed reactions – largely because rounds can take so long due to amateurs playing alongside PGA Tour pros – there are few golf courses as iconic as Pebble Beach in the United States. . And that’s where we’re heading for this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Now that February is here, we’re back with our DraftKings golf picks to try to top the PGA DFS slate this week. Sorry for the pause, but we’re back to break it all down for you.
For those who need a refresher ahead of the event Tom Hoge won last year and with Jordan Spieth, Viktor Hovland and Matthew Fitzpatrick headlining this year, we’ll go over our best games from each lineup. of prizes (along with a handful of other possible options), top fade each tier, and then build a winning range.
With that, let’s really step back as we hand out our AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am DraftKings golf picks for this week’s PGA DFS contests.
DraftKings picks for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am PGA DFS rosters: Top Plays
$10,000: Matthew Fitzpatrick ($10,100) – Looking at the course, I don’t understand why Fitzpatrick is the third most expensive golfer on DraftKings. He has started three draws in America since October and finished no worse than T13. In this race he also added a T5 on the DP World Tour. He’s playing like one of the best in the world with a full game and should be able to attack at Pebble Beach. Also consider: Viktor Hovland ($10,300), Tom Hoge ($10,000)
$9,000: Joel Dahmen ($9,000) – The prospect is off the charts for Joel Dahmen after his wife gave birth in the past two weeks, but now he’s back in action. And I love the fit for him. Dahmen thrives on courses that are a little shorter and that accentuate iron play, which is exactly where we are at this week. At the bottom of that range, I love the positive side, although I’m at least marginally worried about new-dad fatigue. Also consider: Seamus Power ($9,800), Andrew Putnam ($9,700), Matt Kuchar ($9,400)
$8,000: Ben Griffin ($8,600) – Few players have trended as positively as Ben Griffin lately. He had five consecutive finishes of T32 or better, including two inside the Top 16. He hit the ball and played solidly. In an area that frankly isn’t deep at all, I like that it stays on that road and finishes strong. In fact, I had it as my Top 10 this week. Also consider: Thomas Detry ($8,800), Kevin Kisner ($8,500), David Lipsky ($8,200), Nick Taylor ($8,000)
$7,000: Matthew NeSmith ($7,300) – The $7,000 range isn’t very attractive, but the value with Matthew NeSmith versus how he should fit in this price is hard to ignore. Over the last 20 laps, NeSmith gained an incredible 1.24 strokes per lap on approach. He’s a perfect fit for this course, which is backed by a T16 in 2021 and a T11 in 2020. I love his value and think he’s a great play this week. Also consider: Davis Riley ($7,800), Robby Shelton ($7,800), Russell Knox ($7,500), Kevin Yu ($7,300), Ben Taylor ($7,200), Matthias Schmid ($7,100)
$6,000: Marcel Siem ($6,500) – If you can, try to avoid the $6,000 range this week. If you have to, however, you can drop down halfway and grab Marcel Siem. He became a name for a week competing in the Open, but he played well in November and December on the DP World Tour recently. It’s risky, but there’s good with a player who clearly has talent. Also consider: Kevin Tway ($6,900), Peter Malnati ($6,800), Ben Martin ($6,700)
DraftKings golf picks for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am PGA DFS rosters: Top Fades
$10,000: Jordan Spieth ($10,600) – For some people, Jordan Spieth at Pebble Beach is an autoplay. People are not a group that includes me. Spieth has been too erratic with virtually every part of his game for too many months for me to trust him. Even at a place where he’s traditionally been great, I can’t have him in my DraftKings lineup as the most expensive player on the court.
$9,000: Justin Rose ($9,500) – With four consecutive Top 40 finishes, some might be ready to buy Justin Rose. What has been overlooked, especially in the past two weeks, is that Rose has done a lot of that work with the putter. Pebble Beach is a secondary golf course with small greens and narrow approaches. The numbers say Rose isn’t there with that part of her game, so I can’t buy her.
$8,000: Taylor Pendrith ($8,900) – Speaking of approach golf, this is definitely a corner fest for longer hitters like Taylor Pendrith. That, however, is a problem for the Canadian as his corner play this season (and really overall) hasn’t gone in his favor. I know Pendrith’s advantages but it’s just a course that doesn’t suit his game based on what he’s shown.
$7,000: Webb Simpson ($7,700) – Honestly, Webb Simpson is at this price because of his name and for no other reason. His game fell off a cliff at the end of last season and he has taken a cut since the start of the 2022-23 season. His last start was a missed cut at the Sony Open and I don’t think his game is anywhere near where it needs to be for him to be in your roster.
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Best DraftKings Golf RosterMatthew Fitzpatrick ($10,100)Ben Griffin ($8,600)David Lipsky ($8,200)Nick Taylor ($8,000)Robby Shelton ($7,800)Matthew NeSmith (7 $300)
While I would love to have Dahmen, I want to avoid the $6,000 range at Pebble Beach at all costs. So, we’re going heavy in the $8,000 range with our best play in Griffin, then David Lipsky and Nick Taylor. This tournament should suit Lipsky’s game and he’s been playing well lately. As for Taylor, he’s a horse for Pebble Beach with a win and a T14 in two of his last three starts here.
Fitzpatrick and NeSmith have already been discussed, leaving us with Shelton. Robby Shelton is the exact type of player who thrives on shorter runs and plays with his approach game numbers, earning 0.90 strokes per round over his last 20. I like it to show off and complement this range well.
