Lehigh Announces First Members of 2023 Football Recruiting Class

History Links BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Head Coach Kevin Cahill announced the addition of eight student-athletes who will join Lehigh’s football program on Wednesday, National Signing Day. The eight signatories join the four student-athletes who signed national letters of intent in December as the first members of Lehigh’s football class of 2027.
“Starting with the first signing period, we were able to add some great prospects to our program,” Cahill said. “With the second signing period opening today, we are excited to begin adding some very exciting elements to our Lehigh football family. The coaching staff have done a terrific job to kick off and add value enormous to our recruiting class.”
The 12 signers covering the December and current periods include a quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver, a tight end, two offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, a linebacker and two defensive backs.
Six states are represented among the initial signatories, with Georgia and Florida leading the way with four and three signatories, respectively. Two of the newcomers from Pennsylvania, while New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas are also represented.
“The Lehigh community has been incredibly impressive,” Cahill said. “The support from staff, faculty, alumni, and the community has been over the top. These relationships have continued to prove why Lehigh is a special place and takes a special kind of perspective to join our program.”
Wednesday marks the start of the traditional signing period with the Mountain Hawks expected to add more signers to the schedule in the coming weeks.
