There’s a lot packed into this little 28-day month. Before giving you an overview, I want to mention that I will be in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, February 18 to discuss the coming year 2023. It is an honor to deliver a keynote address for the 50th anniversary of the Astrological Society of North Texas. Tickets for this fundraising event are $50.00.
Doors open at 8:00 a.m. and my talk will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a break in between to see my new Year Ahead 2023 calendar, which I can sign for you. Those attending the event will have the opportunity to have lunch with me for $12.00 at Cayote Ridge Golf Club directly after the event. (Hurry up, there are a few tickets left). You must attend the event if you wish to attend lunch.

It’s one of those crazy months where the universe sends confusing mixed messages. When there is a difficult aspect, you will soon see that there will be a brilliant one occurring at the same time. I spent a lot of time thinking about how you would know which aspect of two conflicting messages would dominate. I think I’ve cracked the code – let’s see if you agree after going through this month, which I think is mostly positive.
If I’ve learned anything from studying astrology for many years, it’s that when an aspect comes up, it’s always related to everything that happened before that date. It is important to know how the situation or relationship has evolved in the days and weeks leading up to this aspect. We are not born as brand new babies in a given month or in a new aspect. We bring with us an interesting story and also a very individual way of reacting to events. Your response to what’s happening in life is major – and it often produces a destination that was designed (at least in part) by you.
The first big event this month will take place on the full moon in Leo, 17 degrees, your sector of honors, rewards and achievements (tenth solar house). Your attention will be drawn to your career where something important to you is about to come to fruition.
It’s a problematic full moon, however, as Uranus will bring unexpected news. Uranus is in Taurus, your seventh house ruling over both partners and competitors. You could say that partners and competitors are opposites – yes, that’s true, but it all depends on the aspect of Uranus. This time, Uranus is grumpy and stomping in a hard “square” aspect with the tender moon. Squares bring obstacles.
