VITA tax assistance offered in February, March

The Council on Aging is now booking appointments for scheduled library tax assistance dates. In February, qualified representatives will be in the library on Tuesday and again on February 23.

There will also be additional dates in March. Those wishing to make an appointment should call the Council on Aging at 913-684-0777 and ask for Dawn or Lori.

Some restrictions apply.

Movie Day for Young Dogs and Frogs is scheduled for Monday

On Monday, February 6 at 3:15 p.m., the library is hosting a special Chieftain Coffee and Movie Day for the kids next week.

Youngsters can watch the Disney classic “The Princess and the Frog” at 3:15 p.m. Monday while munching on hot dogs. The library also sends home a frog shooter craft with all participants.

bingo and bunco

The library hosts four game days (Bingo and Bunco) every Monday of each month.

The first two Mondays are for all ages, 12 and up. The third and fourth Mondays are reserved for people aged 55 and over.

All games start at 1 p.m. and are free. Small useful or fun prizes are awarded to the winners. Check the library’s website to find out which Mondays are Bunco or Bingo days.
