Jenna Ortega Posts Beautiful Tribute After the Death of Wednesday Addams Actress Lisa Loring

Jenna Ortega released her first public statement after Lisa Loring’s death. The veteran actress starred as the first Wednesday Addams in the 1966 sitcom The Addams Family when she was just six years old. She died on January 28 at age 64.

On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the Netflix star took to her Instagram Story to share two black and white photos of Loring as a child and wrote, “Absolutely devastated. Thank you for everything.”

On Saturday, Jan. 28, Loring’s daughter, Vanessa Foumberg, confirmed to Variety that the actor died of a stroke caused by high blood pressure. “She left peacefully, her two daughters holding her hand,” she said.

Prior to Foumberg’s official statement, Loring’s friend Laurice Jacobson announced his death and the details surrounding his passing in a Facebook post. “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of our friend, Lisa Loring. 4 days ago she suffered a severe stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure. She was on life support for 3 days. Yesterday her family made the difficult decision to remove her, and she passed away last night,” Jacobson wrote. “She is ingrained in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts forever as Wednesday Addams. Beautiful, kind, a loving mother, Lisa’s legacy in the entertainment world is enormous,” the friend continued. Loring. “And the legacy for his family and friends – a wealth of humor, affection and love will live long in our memories. RIP, Lisa. Damn, girl…you were a ton of fun.”
