Android 13 QPR2 beta 3 rolls out for Google Pixels

Last month, Google launched the second beta version of Android 13 QPR2 (Quarterly Platform Release 2). Now, the Android maker has released the third Android 13 QPR2 beta for eligible Pixel phones with more bug fixes ahead of the stable release expected in the coming weeks.
Android’s quarterly platform beta update lets Pixel users try out upcoming features before they’re available to everyone. The stable version for Android 13 QPR2 should be released in March.
Android 13 QPR2 beta 3: What’s new
Along with QPR2 Beta 3, Google also rolled out the January Security Update to eligible Pixel smartphones.
Google fixed various issues in the latest QPR2 beta update, including fixing group notifications that were displayed with straight corners instead of the rounded edges of the Android 13 theme.
Other fixes include VPN connection indicator issue, overflow menu access in Quick Settings tile, active background app notifications displaying correctly, and extended vibration support when of receipt of notifications.
QPR2 Beta 3 update also fixes the messaging apps crashing issue. Additionally, applications unable to use certain visual effects due to an issue with the graphics processing unit have also been fixed. There was an issue with the Pixel launcher that prevented using pattern lock with Google Assistant enabled has also been fixed.
Android 13 QPR2 Beta 3 will be available for eligible Pixel devices later than Pixel 4a, including Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
Note that installing beta updates to the quarterly version of the platform will erase all data stored on your smartphone. Also, leaving the beta program will cause all data to be lost, and you won’t be able to leave the beta program without losing data until the stable release arrives in March.
