No. 7 USC Men’s Tennis to Face No. 13 Florida, No. 16 Georgia At USTA National Campus

USC’s No. 7 men’s tennis team heads to Sunshine State for a pair of neutral-site duels at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. USC takes on No. 15 Florida on Saturday for a game at 2:00 p.m. EST. On Sunday, they will face the No. 13 ranked Georgia Bulldogs in a game at 11 a.m. EST.

The Trojans just qualified for a spot at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships after going 2-0 at the ITA’s kickoff weekend with wins over Vanderbilt, 4-2 and UCLA n ° 25, 4-0, respectively.

RANKINGS
Troy enters this week as the No. 7 ranked team in the country (ITA Coaches Poll, February 1). USC has three Trojans in the national singles rankings with second-placed Peter Makk leading USC at No. 38 after a steep fall. 5th-year Trojan Bradley Frye locked down the No. 65 ranking, while senior Stefan Dostanic secured the No. 79 ranking.

USC also has a pair of ranked doubles Stefan Dostanic and Bradley Frye, who hold the No. 12 rank.

LAST SEASON
In 2022, Troy went 23-6, won his second consecutive Pac-12 Tournament Championship and reached the NCAA Round of 16. USC finished 2022 as the No. 13 ranked team in the nation while Bradley Frye and Stefan Dostanic earned all-America honors. The 2022 season also saw Masi named Pac-12 Coach of the Year, while the Trojans also won Pac-12 Player and Doubles Team of the Year awards.

SCOUTING IN FLORIDA
The No. 15 Gators just qualified for a spot at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships after going 2-0 at the ITA’s kickoff weekend with wins over USF, 4 -1, and Mississippi State, 4-2, respectively. ITA National Ranking Alligators include No. 51 Nate Bonetto, No. 93 Jonah Braswell and No. 10 Tanapatt Nirundorn/Togan Tokac, No. 37 Nate Bonetto/Axel Nefve and No. 43 Jonah Braswell/Lukas Greif .

SCOUTING GEORGIA
No. 13 Georgia is 2-2 this season, with season-opening losses to No. 16 Florida State and No. 7 Texas. ITA, Georgia clinched their ticket to the 2023 ITA National Team Indoor Championships after defeating LSU, 4-1, and Louisville, 4-1, respectively. Georgia has the highest-ranked player in No. 1 Ethan Quinn, along with four other ranked singles players – No. 10 Philip Henning, No. 21 Blake Croyder, No. 70 Teodor Giusca and No. 106 Trent Bride. Two Bulldog duos are also ranked – No. 19 Trent Bryde/Ethan Quinn and No. 55 Blake Croyder/Britton Johnston.
