Women’s tennis welcomes Chattanooga on Friday

History Links MURFEESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Chattanooga Women’s Tennis host Friday, Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m. CT at the Adams Tennis Complex.

The Blue Raiders are on a three-game winning streak and are 3-0 at home this spring. On Saturday, January 28, MTSU took on Georgia State in a 4-0 victory. The next day, the Blue Raiders faced Bellarmine winning 4-2.

Junior Lilly-Sophie Schmidt got off to a fast 5-0 start in singles play. She was able to land the last three games for MTSU. As a team, the Blue Raiders are 15-10 in singles action this season.

All-time against Chattanooga
– Friday’s game will be the 42nd meeting between MTSU and Chattanooga. The Blue Raiders lead the series 22-19.
– The Blue Raiders are 12-5 when they face the Mocs at home.
– Coach Bailey-Duvall is 2-1 against the Mocs.

Scout the Mocs
– Chattanooga is 3-0 this season. The Mocs defeated UNC-Asheville, WKU and Lee University (Tenn.).
– UTC has five team returns from last year. The combined returns for 65 singles wins and 62 doubles wins last season.
-The Mocs added two transers and a freshman to this year’s squad.

The Blue Raiders will take on Tennessee State on Friday, February 10 at 12:00 p.m. CT at Adams Tennis Complex.
