Kylie Jenner criticized for ‘tasteless’ party after Astroworld tragedy
Kylie Jenner threw a joint birthday party for Stormi and Aire – and some critics are now accusing her of ‘mocking’ the Astroworld tragedy with her decorations.
In photos from the party that were shared via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the reality star showed off several inflatable heads seemingly inspired by Travis Scott’s “Astroworld” album cover.
The 25-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ alum has used a similar blow tunnel for her 5-year-old daughter’s previous parties.
However, Jenner skipped the stage celebrating Stormi in February 2022, four months after 10 victims were killed at Scott’s concert.

Social media users have taken to Twitter to criticize the reality TV star’s decision to retrain the former lead this year.

Another user advised Jenner to “try something new” for her kids’ parties because she has “so much money.”
Meanwhile, a third called the theme “a bit scary” following the fatal crush of the crowd.
In a Reddit thread, fans continued to question the makeup mogul’s decision not to “destroy any hints” of Astroworld.
“Isn’t it tasteless after the tragedy in Astroworld…where children died,” one said.

Another called the decorations ‘insensitive and tone deaf and oblivious’, adding: ‘It drives me crazy at the level of the cancellation.

While Scott has yet to post about Stormi and Aire’s respective birthdays on social media, Jenner posted a touching tribute to their eldest on Wednesday.

“I gave you the gift of life and life gave me the gift of you,” the Kylie Cosmetics creator captioned an Instagram slideshow. “the most special girl. that little face. i’m going to miss it because it just keeps changing.
“5 years of loving you and still more,” she continued. “I will always be here for you Storm Girl.”

Jenner gave birth to Stormi in February 2018. Although she and Scott separated the following year, they reconciled and later welcomed Aire in 2022.
Reports surfaced in January that the recurring couple are no longer together, but the duo have yet to speak out on the rumors.
