Busy college football recruiting period called ‘total chaos’

The first Wednesday in February was the most important day on the calendar for college football recruiting. Now that’s an afterthought. Whether this is a good thing remains up for debate. There is a move underway to change the recruiting schedule and change the December signing period. The emergence of the transfer portal has made December a busier time than ever for college programs. Almost all prospects now finalize their college plans in December rather than waiting for the February signing period.
