However, all hell broke loose when Mickelson, who was suddenly active on Twitter, gave his two cents. The veteran golfer spared no effort in his one-sided vision, in which he claimed that LIV golfers win without any obstacles.

He even argued that the highly anticipated match would end too soon due to golfer LIV’s dominance, stating that “TV should fill an hour of downtime.” The opinion turned heads on Twitter, with fans debating the polarizing opinion.
Sounds good, but we would dominate them so deeply and it would be over so quickly that the TV would have to fill an hour of downtime. That’s why it’s not happening right now 🤷♂️

While such an event could be very promising and exciting to watch, the chances of a LIV Golf vs PGA Tour game seem slim. If not for the cases in court, the two councils have also taken bold positions against each other.
Immediately after Mickelson’s departure from the Rebel League, the PGA Tour announced the reprimand of PGA membership cards of players who made the switch. Several top pros have turned their loyalties which has led to a lot of speculation and made the situation messy.
As the two leagues now co-exist, the animosity has grown closer and closer. Player participation in major championships will be seen as the way forward in golf, which should allow LIV players to participate.
