South Dakota sends 81 high school football players to in-state schools

South Dakota high school football players made their intentions to play college football official on Wednesday, joining players from across the country in signing their national Letters of Intent or accepting admission as a walk-on for play to the next level.

After an early signing streak that featured several high-profile signings — including Washington defensive end Abraham Myers officially joining North Dakota State and a pair of Big Ten promises from Pierre in quarterback Lincoln Kienholz ( Ohio State) and offensive lineman Jason Maciejczak (Nebraska) — South Dakota saw more than 100 others officially join the college football ranks on Wednesday. The state sent 79 players to in-state college football programs and four joined Division-I football programs.
