NASCAR’s Very Own Chase Elliott Wishes They Had a Walk Out Song Like MMA Fighters

With the NASCAR season starting in a few weeks, there’s a lot of buzz around. And recently, one of the hottest riders, Chase Elliott, added to that buzz by wishing something MMA fighters had!

Chase spoke on a variety of topics during a phone interview on the Heidi and Frank Morning Show. Interestingly, there are a few that have caught the eye.

During the conversation, Frank asked him if he had any pre-race rituals he followed before the race, or if he followed something that would get him in the mood on race day.

Chase Elliott left the hosts shocked with his response

The response from the Hendrick Motorsports star was as candid as it was unexpected. He said there was honestly no such thing as a pre-race ritual and gave valid reasons for it. He pointed out that unlike many other sports, in racing fans have a lot of access to the garage, pit road and pre-race ceremonies. Second, the driver has a lot to do behind the scenes. In addition to preparing throughout the week for the race, the driver must also be in contact with all the sponsors.

He added: “Racing is part time as a driver and part time as a partner and spokesperson for our sponsors. And all of those things lead so close to racing. It’s very hard to disconnect and concentrate until you get in the car.

“We do a lot of our preparation throughout the week and the night before the race and all morning before the event. You are busy taking care of your partners.

The hosts were amazed and Heidi teased Chase if he had at least one pumping song like MMA fighters have when they walk in. To which, Chase replied, “No, [I] I would like.
