Serena Williams Stars in Golf Themed Super Bowl Ad

Michelob ULTRA is no stranger to the golf space. Having recently partnered with emerging brands such as Devereux Golf, Bad Birdie and activating through Hypegolf events in Miami and Palm Springs, the brand has established itself as a key player in the new wave of energy and increased inclusion of golf.

This year, the beverage brand is raising the game in a big way, releasing a star-studded 60-second commercial that will air in prime time during Super Bowl LVII featuring Serena Williams and Emmy-winning actor Brian Cox. , featuring cameos from the likes of Jimmy Butler, Alex Morgan, Tony Romo, Nneka Ogwumike and Canelo Álvarez.

Titled ‘New Members Day’, the ad features Serena Williams and the famous actor battling it out on the bonds of the fictional Bushwood Country Club, the location of the 1980 film Caddyshack. True to the iconic golf film, Serena dons a Scottish cap and a plaid pants, Butler sports the recognizable rainbow striped cardigan, and Cox offers the famous “well, we wait” line.

Meanwhile, spectators are outfitted with Devereux Golf’s Sunday Best Sweater, part of a full range of golf apparel from a collaboration between Michelob and DVRX. This collection can be purchased now through the Devereux Golf website.
