Nike Air Max 90 Golf Desert FB5038 160

Nike has provided a first look at the scorching Air Max 90 Golf “Desert”, but don’t look too long.
The reveal comes alongside the Air Max 1 Golf “US Open” and “Always Fresh,” two tournament-themed limited editions for major golf championships, and the “Desert” likely honors the WM Phoenix Open which has held on Super Bowl weekend. And as one of golf’s rowdiest tournaments, famous for the bedlam that plays out on the 16th hole, it’s only fitting that the sneaker lets out its wild side.
Looking closer, the most salient features are the shimmering melting Swoosh of purple and green, along with the crackled crimson red panel representing the scorched earth. From there we see a more understated white mesh base layer with cream leather overlays, then dark gray quarters and sock liners. For branding, flamboyant yellow and red golf balls are centered on the tongues, while Nike Air logos rest on bright red heel overlays.
Things get wild once again with the insoles, where a golfer plays in an abstract desert landscape of red and orange against shadowy cactus silhouettes. Finally, a translucent pink and orange outsole reveals a white and white striped pattern below. Although no official release date is listed, keep your eyes peeled as the Phoenix Open begins on February 9, 2023.
