NFL World Reacts To Notable Retirement Decision

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has previously said he’d rather retire than play for another NFL franchise.

“I would probably quit football if I had to play for someone else,” Carr said in 2021. “I’m a Raider for my whole life. is the So, I just feel so strong in my heart, I don’t need a perfect situation to make things right.

“I’d rather go down with the ship, you know what I’m saying, if I have to.”

Carr, of course, has now been benched by the Raiders. He left the team and is unlikely to return in 2023.

So… is he going to quit football, then?

Apparently not.

NFL Network reports that Carr will not retire, despite his previous comments.

The NFL world is not very surprised.

“The last thing I’ll say about Carr this year…I honestly thought he’d retire if he didn’t play with the Raiders. But after seeing that he deleted #RaiderNation from his bios on social media and unfollowed him again, I think he joined another That’s what it is. Shield on the player,” a fan wrote.

“To no one’s surprise, Derek Fake Carr was lying when he said he would retire rather than play for another team. He claims ‘my best days are ahead of me,'” a fan added.

“The Jets are the absolute best place for him, but the minute he starts wading through the New York media and the Jets fan base will be EXTREMELY hard on him, way worse than some Raiders fans,” added a fan.
