NBA picks: Kings vs. Grizzlies prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report

The Sacramento Kings (19-15) and Memphis Grizzlies (22-13) meet on Day 1 of 2023 with two-game winning streaks. The Kings posted a pair of one-point wins to close out 2022, while the Grizzlies rang in the new year with a victory over the Pelicans on Saturday.
Both teams are healthy for this one. Domantas Sabonis is playing with a thumb injury for the Kings. Desmond Bane is starting to regain his form after returning from a sprained toe for Memphis.
The Grizzlies are the 4.5-point favorites in the DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is 239.
Kings vs. Grizzlies, 8 p.m. ET
Choose ATS: Kings +4.5
Sacramento has been able to hang out most of its games this season, and the Grizzlies are coming off of a tough game on Saturday. Take on the Kings to keep things close and cover that line in a battle of two Western Conference playoff prospects.
Over/Under: Over 239
It’s a big number, but both teams are dynamic offensively. The Kings have hit over in their last two and four of their last six games. The Grizzlies have tended to be under the total lately and might have tired legs on the second night of a straight set, but Sacramento should be able to do most of the heavy lifting for the overs to strike again.
